Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 egg (for egg wash)

Cooking spray or olive oil

Salsa or guacamole (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess fat.

Stir in the taco seasoning along with water as directed on the packet (usually about 2/3 cup). Simmer for 5 minutes until fully combined and the mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and add in the cheddar cheese, mozzarella, diced tomatoes, black olives (if using), and green onions. Stir well until the cheese melts slightly and ingredients are evenly distributed.

Open the package of crescent rolls and separate the dough into triangles along the perforated lines.

On a clean surface, take one triangle and place about a tablespoon of the taco filling at the wide end. Roll it up tightly, starting from the wide end to the point.

Repeat this process until all the dough and filling are used. Place the rolled sticks on the prepared baking sheet.

Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of the taco sticks for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve hot with salsa or guacamole for dipping. Enjoy your cheesy taco sticks!
