Ingredients

1 pound salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons cornstarch

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper.

Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In another bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs and cornstarch.

Coat the Salmon: Dredge each salmon piece in flour, shaking off excess. Next, dip it into the panko mixture, pressing gently to ensure a good coating. Set aside.

Fry the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon bites in batches (do not overcrowd the pan) and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Cook over medium heat while stirring until the sauce slightly thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

Coat the Salmon Bites: Once the salmon bites are crispy, drizzle the honey garlic sauce over them or toss them in a bowl with the sauce for an even coating.

Serve and Garnish: Transfer the crispy honey garlic salmon bites to a serving platter. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds as a final touch.
