Ingredients

20 jumbo pasta shells

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

Salt, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well incorporated.

Fill the Shells: Using a spoon, fill each cooked pasta shell with the spinach and ricotta mixture. Be generous!

Assemble the Dish: In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the stuffed shells upright in the dish. Spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the shells, ensuring they are well-coated.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the shells.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, then serve warm.
