Ingredients
  

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk (110°F)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

2 medium apples, peeled and diced (preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 tablespoons milk (for desired consistency)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

      - In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, egg, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and stir to combine.

        - Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

          - Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

            Make the Filling:

              - In a bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice. In another small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.

                - Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x10 inches). Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture and even out the diced apples across the surface.

                  Roll and Slice:

                    - Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal it.

                      - Cut the roll into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish, leaving space between each roll. Cover and let rise for about 30 minutes.

                        Bake the Rolls:
