Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats

2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith)

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup maple syrup (adjust to sweetness preference)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)

2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional, for added nutrients)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, applesauce, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Fold in the diced apples, chopped nuts, raisins or cranberries, and chia seeds (if using). Mix gently to ensure even distribution.

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly using a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.

Optional toppings: Drizzle with a little extra maple syrup, sprinkle with more cinnamon, or add a dollop of yogurt before serving.
