Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and black pepper (to taste)

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

8 ounces fettuccine or your pasta of choice

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest, then slice into strips.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Incorporate the chopped sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Create a Creamy Base: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well to combine, allowing the mixture to come to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts and creates a creamy sauce.

Cook the Pasta: Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and add the pasta directly to the sauce in the skillet, tossing to coat evenly.

Combine and Finish: Add the sliced chicken on top of the pasta and gently stir to combine everything. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

Serve: Plate the pasta and chicken in bowls or on plates, garnishing with fresh basil leaves for a touch of color and flavor.
