Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes

4 oz pepperoni slices

1/4 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into the triangle pieces as per the perforated lines.

Fill the Croissants: On the wide end of each triangle, place a small cube of mozzarella cheese and a couple of slices of pepperoni. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of garlic powder and Italian seasoning on top of the fillings.

Roll Them Up: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll the triangle toward the point, encasing the filling securely. Make sure the filling stays inside.

Brush with Egg Wash: Place the rolled croissant on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each croissant with the beaten egg to give it a beautiful golden color when baked.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.

Prepare the Sauce: While the rolls are baking, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat for dipping.

Serve: Remove the croissant rolls from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy your savory treat!
