500g chicken breast, diced

2 tablespoons butter

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

1 can (400g) diced tomatoes

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon garam masala

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice or naan (for serving)

Instructions
 

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

    Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.

      Add the diced chicken to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, garam masala, cumin, and chili powder. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.

        Pour the canned diced tomatoes into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

          Reduce heat to low and slowly stir in the heavy cream, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce is creamy and heated through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

            Serve the butter chicken hot over cooked rice or with warm naan. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
