Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

16 wonton wrappers

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Honey or chocolate sauce for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. If desired, fold in the mini chocolate chips for added sweetness.

Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper.

Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle, pressing the edges together tightly to seal. Make sure there are no air pockets.

Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat. The oil should be around 350°F (175°C) if you have a thermometer.

Carefully place a few wontons in the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the wontons from the oil and set them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Once cooled slightly, dust the fried wontons with additional powdered sugar. For an extra touch, drizzle with honey or chocolate sauce before serving.

Serve warm as a delightful dessert or snack!
