Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce leaves (for serving)

Tomato slices (optional)

Avocado slices (optional)

Your favorite condiment (like aioli or mustard)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and gently shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the burgers are golden brown.

While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the whole wheat burger buns in another skillet or under a broiler until lightly golden.

Assemble the burgers: Start with the bottom half of the bun, followed by a lettuce leaf, the cooked chicken patty, and top it with tomato slices, avocado if desired, and your favorite condiment. Finish with the top half of the bun.

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
