Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Olive oil for cooking

Burger buns

Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, and additional white cheddar

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat and drizzle with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

Place the patties in the hot skillet or on the grill, cooking for 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F and are fully cooked through.

If desired, top each burger with a slice of white cheddar cheese during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned.

Assemble your burgers by placing the cooked patties on the bottom half of the buns and adding your choice of toppings, such as sliced tomatoes, avocado, and lettuce. Cover with the top half of the buns.

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
